Simon and Jeanette have worked in the catering and hospitality business for over 20 years.

They met whilst working in a local pub and both showed a flare for the business, Simon as a bar and cellar manager and Jeanette as a chef. They enrolled on a brewery management training programme and then went on to run some of the biggest food based pubs in the West Midlands for Bass Taverns.

After 3 years making money for someone else they decided to go it alone and took on a pub of their own in Northamptonshire. A small friendly village pub started the journey to where they are today. After 4 years in The Plough and having won many awards for food and drink, foot and mouth hit Northamptonshire closing some of the walking and rambling routes that they relied on so much for their business. After months of trying to pull in new trade, they decided to sell up and move on.

In 2003 CSE (Catering Supplies and Equipment) was born, it was just a case of where to run it from, having family in Pembrokeshire made the decision easy, so Fishguard it was.  Originally the business was set up to sell janitorial supplies and catering equipment to the catering industry, but slowly bit by bit the business evolved and changed tack. More and more people wanted to hire things, a few glasses and plates here and few cups and saucers there, it just snowballed.

Today CSE Hire is one of Wales’s foremost catering hire companies, and is growing stronger every year as new product lines get added and bigger clients come on board. We are fiercely proud of what we have achieved over the years and feel that our clients see that in the quality of our service and products we offer.

Simon is a also a volunteer for the RNLI on the Fishguard Lifeboat.
